Big Little Lies was one of the starriest and buzziest TV shows of 2017, with an A-list cast including Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, and Alexander Skarsgård. It's also one that had a very closed-off ending, but is coming back regardless.

It's not quite clear what the story will be this time, although it'll very much involve the fallout from the dramatic conclusion to the first. However, that won't be too much of a concern if it can conjure up the same mix of stunning direction, incredible performances, and prestige melodrama that leaves you wanting more each week.

Oh, and as if the cast wasn't impressive enough first time around, they've roped in Meryl Streep for Season 2. That alone should make it must watch.
