Disgraced former club member Kyle Hobart was supposed to have had his large and impressive membership ink removed upon his exile from SAMCRO. When he pops up again in season ones fifth episode, Giving Back (another amusing play on words, this time from veteran writer Jack LoGiudice), it quickly becomes obvious that he hasnt. This leads to Hobart being given the choice between knife or fire. Were not sure how the poor guy could reasonably win here, but after seeing what happens when he chooses fire, weve got no idea how the edge of a blade could have been any worse. Yet another gruesome example of Sons Of Anarchy setting out the kind of show it intended to be from an early episode.
