Yet another example (if another was needed) of Sons Of Anarchy electing to show the audience what kind of show they were getting into fairly early on. Season ones Fun Town sees the thirteen-year-old daughter of one of SAMCROs political allies raped and beaten by a carnival worker. Begged for help in finding and punishing the perpetrator, the Sons go to work, cornering the rapist in a nasty scuffle which sees perennial nutcase Tig bite off a fairground workers ear. See, thats what we mean in any other show, that would have been the nastiest thing ever to occur. In Sons Of Anarchy, its an amusing footnote. Clay offers the knife to Jax, but the young vice-president doesnt yet have the stones to do what is necessary ironically, in this case, as a gloved Morrow then proceeds to cut off the mans testicles himself, keeping the grisly souvenirs and the knife, which hes made sure carry the girls fathers prints to use against him in the future. Yeah, Clays all heart.
