15 New Fall TV Shows You Need To Know About

4. The Great Indoors

Falling Water Man With A Plan Son of Zorn
CBS

The synopsis for The Great Indoors features the word 'millenials', which is reason alone to be put off by it, but looking beyond that there's some interesting elements here. Or rather, an interesting and talented cast, that includes Community's Joel McHale, Superbad's Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Stephen Fry.

McHale will play an outdoor adventure writer who has to adapt when he becomes the boss of a group of 'those people' in the digital department of a magazine. It looks better than the tagline suggests, especially since McHale is bringing some Jeff Winger sensibilities to it, based on how much his character doesn't want to be there and believes himself smarter than the people he's lumbered with. Mike Gibbons (Tosh.0) and Chris Harris (How I Met Your Mother) have created the series. (The trailer hasn't been made available on YouTube yet, if you're wondering where it is.)

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
