4. Fat Suits
Friends: Fat Monica is brilliant. Every single scene she appears in instantly becomes comedy gold and it is quite hard to pick a highlight. Of course her first appearance in The One with the Prom Video is a classic in its own right, but the shots of her dancing, ordering a pizza, calling Chandler a butt-munch and collapsing into a beanbag chair are a highlight of the dreary tenth season. The Big Bang Theory: The Cooper Extraction showed a glimpse at what would have become of the characters had Sheldon not entered their lives. And for some unfathomable reason Leonard, Raj and Stuart would have become fat. This was simply thrown in for the laughs. Admittedly both shows used the fat suit for humour, but Friends did it with heart. Monica was empowered to loose her weight after Chandler unwittingly made a jibe at her, and in doing so began their ultimate romance. Fat Monica is so much better than fat Leonard, Raj or Stuart.
