3. A Bromance
Friends: Joey and Ross get in many homosexual situations, most notably when they became nap partners. But all three male characters can be classified as having a bromance. They are three male characters who are extremely close to one another without any romantic feelings for one another. The Big Bang Theory: The squabbling between Raj and Howard resulted in Leonards mother claiming they had created an ersatz homosexual marriage in order to satisfy their need for intimacy. When Howard later married Bernadette, Raj recreated this bromance with Stuart, albeit less successfully. The bromance of Friends trumps that of The Big Bang Theory. Whilst The Big Bang Theory did it well, Howard and Raj as a friendship pairing only worked well when they were both single; after Howard married Bernadette, Raj spent the prevailing series moping around doing very little. On Friends however all three male characters remains equally close to one another throughout the entirely of the show's run.
