The repercussions were far and long lasting, but thankfully Rachel got off the plane and Ross got everything he had wanted since high school. The Big Bang Theory: When Penny realised Leonard wanted more than she did from their relationship, she called it a day. Following this they unwittingly battled for custody over Sheldon and Sheldon had a run in with a dog over some hotdogs. Thankfully he managed to rescue one of them. There is just no way The Big Bang Theory can create a dynamic coupling like Ross and Rachel so it is probably for the best that Penny and Leonard got back together. Friends clearly did the hot blonde and the geek better, even if Leonard is geekier than Ross. Can you think of any other similarities between Friends and The Big Bang Theory?
