15 Small Details You Only Notice Rewatching Star Wars: The Clone Wars
10. Crimson Dawn
After it's revealed that he's still alive following his duel with Obi-Wan, Maul went on a crusade to destroy his arch-nemesis and set up his own empire, with his vicious brother and apprentice Savage Opress in tow.
The former Sith Lord sets up on Mandalore, fighting and manipulating his way to power with the help of the Shadow Collective - a group he forms that's made up of some of the Galaxy's most dangerous crime lords, gangsters and mercenaries.
In season seven's "The Phantom Apprentice," one of the Collective's leaders is revealed to be Dryden Vos, a gangster who would go on to become the antagonist of Solo: A Star Wars Story. In the film, Vos is revealed to still be in the employ of Maul and the face of the Crimson Dawn, the former Sith's new group.
Vos's cameo is pretty cool in its own right, expanding the lore of the movies, but it also confirms that Maul had the Crimson Dawn planned all along, ready for when Palpatine took over the Galaxy.
