Phil LaMarr, much like Tara Strong too, has lent his voice to a tonne of animated projects over the years. He was Hermes in Futurama, Wilt in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and has even had turns in Family Guy and a bunch of other projects on TV, film, and in video games too.

LaMarr may have voiced a few other comic book characters since taking on the part of John Stewart in Justice League, but it's still his best work in the genre. Indeed, the part of Green Lantern on Justice League is probably the character's most iconic iteration, certainly among the DC hardcore, and even, perhaps, among casual audiences too. For a generation raised on Dwayne McDuffie's Justice League, he is their GL. The thought of another Lantern in the role is just bizarre.

LaMarr's time spent as the Lantern of Sector 2814 was, for many, the definitive take on the character, with the actor's performance having undoubtedly benefited from the strong material the creators behind the series managed to produce. Here's hoping that any future big screen Lantern will brush up on JLU in preparation for their role.
