15. Ruby Wax - Blaize Falconburger
Blaize Falconburger was a brash, loud, American host of a one-off TV show called Lifestyles of the Disgustingly Rich and Famous, which centred on Lister and his new-found fame and fortune as a result of modifying the past in the episode Timeslides.
The role was original slated to be played by the late Graham Chapman. His untimely death meant that producer Ed Bye's wife, Ruby Wax, stepped in, and the part got slightly re-written to account for her inimitable style.
In Timeslides, Lister becomes so disgustingly rich that his song 'Om' gets to number 1 in the charts because he buys all the copies himself. As Blaize herself says: that's the kind of cash that opens anybody's legs.
