17 Hidden TV Show Gems On Amazon Prime

4. Orphan Black

Orphan Black Clones Tatiana Maslany
BBC America

Sarah Manning witnesses the death of a woman who appears to be identical to her, assumes her identity, and is plunged into a world of shady organisations and secrets, where it turns out that she is just one of many clones.

It's high-concept sci-fi meets thrilling drama, and it's all held together by the fantastic performances of Tatiana Maslany, who plays all of the clones herself, which includes Sarah, Beth, the scientist Cosima, and 'suburban mom' (and let's be honest, the best of the clones) Alison Hendrix.

Without spoiling things too much - the fact that they're clones isn't really a spoiler - it has continued to expand the mythology of the show, and after a couple of years Maslany's work has finally been recognised with an Emmy nomination. Seasons 1 & 2 are available on Amazon Prime, with S3 only airing a couple of months ago, so it should be added in due course.
