Airing on SyFy from 12 June, Dark Matter sees the six-person crew of a spaceship wake up with absolutely no recollection of who they are or how they came to be in space. They discover that theres a pre-set destination for the ship, so they have to figure out what exactly theyre supposed to be doing there, and fight for survival at the same time. Its written by Stargates Joseph Malozzi and Paul Mullie, and based on their comic-book series of the same name (although it was initially intended for TV anyway), so its got two experienced pairs of hands behind it, and looks like an interesting blend of sci-fi and memory-loss drama, with a sprinkling of action for good measure.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
