17 Hottest New TV Shows Debuting This Summer

16. Difficult People

Sitcom Difficult People is set to follow Julie Klausner and Billy Eichner (both known for their work on Funny Or Die) as two best friends living together in New York, who hate pretty much everyone but each other. It€™s set to air on streaming service Hulu, which is looking for a big original hit, and has Parks and Recreation's Amy Poehler on board as an executive producer, so it does have a bit of comedic power behind it. Eichner has mentioned that communicating through pop-culture is something they€™ll be bringing to the show, while Klausner admitted to looking at Curb Your Enthusiasm for the tone and structure. Those comments, coupled with the talent behind the show, suggest that this should have enough to succeed amongst what seems a pretty competitive field of new comedies.
