The latest medical drama to attempt to re-create the success of ER, Code Black focuses on a notorious emergency room. It centres on what happens when the amount of people in need of treatment exceeds the resources available, an occurrence that gives the series its name. When that happens, all bets are off. The cast includes Luis Gudman and Marcia Gay Harden, and while there have been plenty of similar dramas in recent years, this one looks to get a little closer to the action.
