17 Shows To Binge-Watch Before They Return This Fall

3. Doctor Who

Due to the regenerations of The Doctor, you don€™t necessarily need to have seen previous seasons to enjoy the new one, and can choose just how much you want to get caught-up on. There€™s the old or €˜classic€™ stuff, which amounts to around 26 seasons. More doable is the nuWho series, of which there have been eight, with series 9 set to air in September.

At the very least it is worth watching last year€™s, Peter Capaldi€™s debut, to get acquainted with the 12th Doctor, an older take on the character than we€™re used to seeing in the revival period, but still an entertaining one who manages to put his own spin on things.

Now more confident in the role, Capaldi should be even better this time around, and series 9 looks very promising indeed. However, there are a lot of great stories that come before him, and some fantastic Doctors as well, so it€™s worth checking out at least a few of them before the new episodes begin.
