17 Shows To Binge-Watch Before They Return This Fall

2. The Flash

Barry Allen was introduced in Arrow season 2, and the producers quickly whisked him off to his own show not long after. The plan had been to give The Flash a backdoor pilot in its sibling show, but instead it got its own episode, its own full season, and has took the ball and ran super fast with it.

With Arrow season 3 being a little darker, and that being the trend for most superhero output in general, The Flash was a breath of fresh air. It embraced its comic-book roots and didn€™t take itself too seriously. That€™s not to say the stakes weren€™t high or the villains weren€™t great, because they were, but it was also light-hearted and fun to watch.

Season 2 is shaping up nicely and should offer more of the same, while also opening up the universe of the show, and providing some more awesome crossovers with Arrow. With just the one season to watch before it returns you should definitely run along and see it. You€™ll be done in a flash.
