The most famous of the Classic Doctors turns up as the Curator! Having only recently begun participating in new Doctor Who material with some Big Finish audio adventures, Tom Baker had been mostly uninvolved in the show since his 1981 exit. The only time fans had seen him since Logopolis was in the 1993 Children in Need charity special, Dimensions in Time, which also coincided with the show's 30th anniversary. He had also leant his voice to a 1997 video game, Destiny of the Doctors, but that was pretty much it until 2009's audio tales. This is the same man who necessitated the use of a wax model in promotional photos and of whom old footage had to be used for he Five Doctors, after he famously declined to participate. In retrospect, maybe some fans can point to signs, like his turning up at certain 50th promotional events ahead of the broadcast, as a sign of things to come, but even then, seeing the Eighth Doctor was far more likely. How many classic actors could they cram into one special anyway? These 20 are far from the only double (or triple) appearing actors in the Whoniverse. What other actors have you noticed?
