William Thomas has the rare designation of being not only the first actor who appeared in the Classic Series to appear in a new episode, but he's also the only actor who also appeared on Torchwood, in which he played Gwen Cooper's father. His first appearance was in the Seventh Doctor serial Remembrance of the Daleks.
