9. The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Season 3)

You can certainly argue that The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt feels a little comfy in its third season, but it's hard to argue with the consistency of the laughs and the charm of Ellie Kemper's performance as the titular character.

Like its predecessors, the third season manages a neat mix of silly gaggery and more thoughtful social satire, driven by characteristically sharp writing that knows when to milk a gag dry and when to drop it.

Tituss Burgess deserves to be singled out for nearly stealing the show away from Kemper numerous times this season, and while one hopes that season four might push the boat out a little further, the show nevertheless continues to be one of Netflix's funniest and most endearingly optimistic offerings.
