20 Best Batman TV Episodes Ever

9. ‘Night And The City’ (The Batman)

Heart of Ice Batman
Warner Bros. Animation

Two seasons of well-rounded storytelling came to a head for The Batman in a finale that saw all of the show's major underlying stories collide with some of the more well-renowned Batman conventions. And the rest was nothing short of spectacular.

With regulars The Joker, Penguin and Riddler teaming up to unmask their greatest foe and the GCPD's Chief Rojas uncovering his secret partnership with Detective Yin, it all looked like The Dark Knight's reign of vigilantism was about to come to an end. And yet, with the heat of the GCPD on his tail, both he and Yin managed to not only track down the diabolical threesome but defeat them - showcasing how much of a hero he truly was.

The end of Batman's tenure as a vigilante and the beginning of his time as a recognised ally of the GCPD, this one bid farewell to Yin and Rojas as it introduced Commissioner Gordon in an episode that could have very well served as a series finale - and a damn good one at that!
