20 Best Batman TV Episodes Ever
16. 'The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies' (Gotham)
There's a reason that any Gotham episode featuring Cameron Monaghan automatically gripped viewers, and that's because of just how darn chilling the young actor was in his role as Jerome Valeska.
While the Joker-like character gave us countless unforgettable moments throughout the first four seasons, his peak unquestionably came in the third when he returned for a three-episode arc that saw him literally come back to life.
With his face literally stapled back onto his head, Jerome was never more frightening than he was in 'The Gentle Art of Making Enemies' as he attempted to break his old friend Bruce Wayne. And the writers did a fantastic job with the pacing, escalating the tension at just the right time in order to portray him as the unpredictable menace that he was.
A greatest hits of classic Joker moments from the comics, this was a thrill-ride from start to finish that single-handedly blew everything else in the admittedly great third season out of the water.
