20 Best Deaths In Doctor Who History

3. Death By Being Rory (Various)

Welcome to the world of Rory Williams. Punching well above his weight in the romance department and eking out a quiet living as a nurse in a sleepy corner of England, he was the closest thing the Doctor had to a Bilbo Baggins. A pleasant chap in search of a quiet life, he went on to become an unlikely hero. Adric dying saving the planet from extinction? Pah! Rory cashed in his chips several times over. Arthur Darvill's likeable companion occupies a singular place in the series canon, thanks to current showrunner Steven Moffat. His numerous shufflings off the mortal coil are matched only by his mind-boggling resurrections. He's been an Auton, an old man and a possible entry in the Doctor Who Hall of Fame as the show's very first cosplayer and sexual roleplay enthusiast. Yet he will always be remembered as The Man Who Died, Came Back, Died Again, and so on... Which of his demises could be called the best? Difficult to say. Whether getting shot by a Silurian in Cold Blood or crumbling to dust in Amy's Choice, he was on practically first name terms with the Galactic Grim Reaper. So perhaps it's best to categorize Rory as a maxipack of multiple Doctor Who deaths instead. It's only fair.
