20 Best Superhero TV Show Performances Ever

6. Tom Ellis As Lucifer Morningstar

Daredevil Kingpin Vincent DOnofrio
Fox

It's not just Marvel that loves casting a good British actor. Since 2016, Tom Ellis has portrayed the titular character in Lucifer, and has helped to make the show as incredibly popular as it has become. Fans were outraged at the show seemingly coming to close after the upcoming season five, but with Ellis reportedly happy to continue further, we may yet get our wish for more Lucfier.

Every aspect of the character is played to perfection by the incredibly charismatic Tom Ellis. The work hard, play hard womanizer, the surprisingly gentle, sensitive being, and the demon of horrific punishments and unparalleled evil are all balanced beautifully, topped off with the kind of haunting English accent that spells both class and often villainy.

It is no surprise fans were delighted at the Devil's cameo during Crisis on Infinite Earths, and if there was just one down side to come from it, it's that we're left wanting to see more of Lucifer and Constantine opposite each other. Is a Matt Ryan cameo in a future episode of Lucifer too much to ask?
