1. Aiden Gallagher As Number Five

The Umbrella Academy is full of bizarre characters, from the monkey man who was sent to the moon, to the woman who can make anything she says come true, and the talking ape. The weirdest by far, and unquestioned best character of the series, is Number Five.

As a child, Number Five decided to dabble in time travel. After living in the future for a few decades, he and his 58 year old mind were shot back in time, settling in his 13 year old body and resulting in one of the most unique comic book characters on TV.

Aiden Gallagher, as a 17 year old at the time, had the mammoth task of portraying a wise, well-traveled, 58 year old man, and he couldn't have done it any better. The young actor put in an excellent performance beyond his years as a more than believable old man in a young body. As believable as that gets, anyway.

From needing his fix of coffee, hunting down assassins, and having to put up with his younger siblings and their squabbles, Gallagher truly embodied the greatest and most compelling of Reginald Hargreeves' seven children.
