13. "Crusade" - Smallville
Season four of Smallville featured a season-long hunt for three Kryptonian crystals, which contained the knowledge of 28 known galaxies and when brought together, would lead Clark to the Fortress of Solitude. This all began in the season four premiere, titled "Crusade".
Having been stripped of his humanity by Jor-El and embracing the cold, emotionless Kryptonian within, Clark spends the majority of this episode on the hunt for the Crystal of Fire. But unlike Clark, his alter-ego Kal-El has full control over the entire range of his amazing super-powers.
"Crusade" marks the first time in the series that Clark takes to the skies. It's a monumental moment, punctuated by an incredible musical score that is followed by a thrilling sequence where Clark breaks into a moving plane in order to gain the crystal.
