17. Scrubs (Season 10)

Scrubs
ABC

16(!) years after its last season, Scrubs is back and, quite frankly, better than it's ever been.

Older, wiser but no less himself, Scrubs' latest chapter follows the daydreaming JD (a whimsical and comforting Zach Braff, back to the role that helped make Scrubs such a success in the first place) as he becomes the new Chief of Medicine at the hospital that moulded him all those years ago.

Losing none of the fantastical asides and wacky subplots of its early years, Scrubs' tenth chapter is a revelation for a number of reasons. Not only does it feel like we've never been away from JD and his closest friends, but with all the time we've been without them, each of them has changed in ways that are often so moving to explore.

Sporting brilliant performances from Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, and John C. McGinley, Scrubs is proof that some revivals can work, and that a little bit of growing up can go a long way.
