After dragging the British government through the wringer with The Thick of It and In The Loop, comedy writer Armando Inacci swayed his acidic gaze across the ocean and targeted the US political structure.

Amazingly, nothing was lost in translation as his intellectually foul-mouthed dialogue and aggressive satire remained just as sharp and hilarious in this uncharted territory.

It helps that the show boast a rip-roaring comedy ensemble with a game Julia Louis-Dreyfus finally able to shed Eliane typecasting, joined by other hidden comedy gems like Matt Walsh, Anna Chumlumsky and a scene-stealing Timothy Simons.

Inaucci remains a fascinating talent who’s observational comedy about the current political climate is equally horrifying as it is baffling hilarious, Veep continued that tradition and then some.
