20 Best TV Shows Of The Last Decade

8. Broad City

The Leftovers
Comedy Central

The honour of sharpest comedy show of the last decade needs to go to this enjoyably erratic, colourfully boisterous and subtly endearing title buoyed by the yin-and-yang charm of the central duo (and creators), Ilana Glazer and Abi Jacobson.

The concept initially started as a loosely autobiographical web series about the two ladies and their hapless adventures as struggling 20-somethings in a modern New York. The transition to serialised TV format has been nothing but rewarding.

While the show delvers at the forefront a rip-roaring hilarious and giddy time, the true power lie in Glazer and Jacobson's harnessing of the unsteady ground most young adults find themselves whilst beelining to thirty, and the meaningful friendships that help (or sometimes stall) the transition through it.

Plus, it has killer one-liners and an on-fire Hannibal Buress...so, there's that.
