20 Contestants Who Really Couldn’t Handle Takeshi's Castle
12. Walk The Plank Fail
Some of the challenges were only seen in shows involving pairs, like the couples or parent and child versions. Teamwork and trust play a huge part in these games so what you definitely don't do on a see-saw based game is race ahead, increasing the difficulty for your partner. This pair bring a new meaning to the term planks!
11. Dino Ride Fail
Everyone has seen a mechanical bucking bronco type game before and the Japanese added a shooting element to increase the difficulty. Mounting the dinosaur at the start of the game wasn't the hard part of this challenge, but this poor bloke even struggled with that. It's no surprise that he failed to progress shortly after this!
10. Bridge Ball Fail
The gif above doesn't looks as eventful as some of the others, but fans of the show will notice that this poor bloke has only just started on the rope bridge before he wobbles and falls off. When a contestant fails to even get the golden ball fired to him by General Lee or faced any body shots from the Emerald Guard, you know this game wasn't for them!
9. Trusting Animal Fail
The Emerald Guard played a key part in many of the games, trying to distract or put off contestants, often mocking them after their eliminations. The most famous was Animal, who was taller, more intimidating and got rid of more contestants than anyone else. You quickly learnt they weren't to be trusted. This lady wasn't so wise, being thrown back into the water by Animal (ironically dressed like a bee) after being offered a handout.
8. Mud Ball Fail
Who would have thought catching a ball would be so difficult? Admittedly, the Emerald Guard launched the ball high into the air and the contestants were trying to move around in thick mud, but seeing people being hit in the face with a football is hilarious. This poor woman gets her timing all wrong and eats both ball and mud as a result.
7. Wipeout Fail
Timing is everything, particularly when you have to transition on and off a moving surfboard. This couple get it horribly wrong, as he forces his poor partner on to the board with an almighty push, with predictable results. The flip and entry into the water from the woman still gets a 9.5 from us!
