19. Ghosting

Jeff Winger's ego has been a central plot point for many Community episodes, but none more so than "Beginner Pottery" when Jeff finds out what his limits are all while simultaneously meeting someone that is his better; a doctor named Rich who is just a swell fella full of smiles.

For a normal person this would be bad day, but for Jeff Winger it's just the first stop on a downward spiral into madness. The real funny comes from Tony Hale, guest starring as the easy-going pottery professor who has just one rule: no "ghosting" AKA reenacting the scene from Ghost where Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore get handsy with some clay.

Jeff, in a psychotic attempt to prove that Rich is actually more experienced in pottery than he lets on, accidentally breaks the professor's one rule, then taunts him by singing "Unchained Melody" after he gets thrown out. Way to throw the hump, Jeff.
