13. The Spanking Was Real
One of the most shocking and hilarious scenes from recent seasons was Sheldon spanking Amy, but what you dont know is it wasnt meant to be seen by our eyes. When Sheldon punishes Amy with a spanking for faking illness in order to enjoy his ointment rubs, the actual punishment scene wasnt supposed to be in the script but performed off-screen. Parsons has since said that there were three jokes, a "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" string of monkey scenes that ultimately were trimmed from the script one by one. Such was the funniness of the scene, Parson also confessed that the he had issues containing his laughter when in production, "It was one of the hardest things we ever had to do because I found it tremendously amusing! It also seems he enjoyed the scene a little too much as Mayim Bialik revealed that there was some redness following filming, although Parsons was keen to add that she was game for the whole thing.
