12. Dawn Was Meant To Have Superpowers

Every show has that one character most fans find annoying and that unfortunate accolade in Buffy fell on the Slayer's little sister Dawn's shoulders when she arrived in Season Five and presently spent the next three seasons mostly whining. However, things might have been very different if the character had turned out as originally conceived. Rather than just being Buffy's ordinary sister (who is actually a ball of mystical energy but let's not get into that now) she would have had telekinetic powers (the ability to move things with her mind) and the capacity to speak to the dead. Quite how these powers would have played out within the show has never been revealed. There are echoes of Dawn's medium powers in a few episodes where she interacts with her dead mother but that's not due to her own skill. She never moved anything with her mind though. Although she did spend a brief stint as a kleptomaniac, which is kind of the same thing, isn't it?
