Back when Christopher Nolan was hunting for the right actor to lead his gritty new take on the Caped Crusader in Batman Begins, one of his first choices was allegedly none other than David Boreanaz - presumably inspired by his portrayal of another brooding, rooftop-favouring hero in Angel. Boreanaz, however, turned the role down for unknown reasons. Extra fact: Boreanaz isn't the only Dark Knight-related actor to appear in Buffy. Soon-to-be Batman himself Ben Affleck appeared in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie as a basketball player.
