6. Edward Mordrake Is Real
Mordrake was a 19th century aristocrat who reportedly suffered from a form of Diprosopus, a very rare congenital disorder that causes parts or all of the face to be duplicated on the head. He repeatedly asked doctors to remove the face but none would risk it, so he committed suicide aged just 23. In American Horror story his story has been embellished into a superstition among carnies that if they perform on Halloween it summons forth Mordrake, who appears and must take one of their number with him to the after life.
