In Arrows first series, Oliver Queen had to provide a plausible explanation to his friends and family for why he spent so much time in an abandoned foundry in the Glades, which is where he had built his Arrow-cave. Being a billionaire playboy, he built a nightclub above the place he where he would be spending his evenings, although he gave the running of the club to his sister, Thea after realising he couldn't balance his nightly escapades with managing a nightclub. Interestingly, the name of the club means bright green in French. The logo for the establishment is a pointed arrow combining the two makes Oliver Queens masked alter ego, Green Arrow. This reference was never going to excite fans as it required an understanding of a foreign language, but it shows that the studio is committed to loading the show with Easter Eggs and references they know that comic book fans love looking for them, so they hid plenty in the show.
