20 Problems Only Whovians Will Understand

4. Omnirumour Fatigue

It's now been well over a year since the first whispers started to hit the internet. No one could really believe it, but more and more sources were starting to say that most if not all of the missing episodes from the programme's first six years had been recovered. This was such good news that it was practically inconceivable. At that time there were a total of 106 episodes from those early years that were lost, most believed forever. But the whispers continued and then in October of 2013 it was announced that two complete(ish) Second Doctor stories had indeed been recovered. This seemed to give some credence to the rumors that everything had been found, and since that moment Fandom has doggishly followed every scrap of a whisper of a hint of a rumor, vaguely expecting that at any moment the BBC would be announcing the entire find. And then time passed. By this point Fandom as a whole is so entirely sick of scouring the web for news of the so-called 'omnirumour' that an announcement either way would be a relief if only to finally have the whole thing settled.

3. The Classic Series Stars Are Beginning To Die

In the last couple of years we've lost Nicholas Courtney, Liz Sladen, Mary Tamm and Caroline John, just to name a few. In a very short time there will be fewer actors from the classic series alive than there are who have passed away, to say nothing of the production staff. This has the strange effect of making the DVD commentary tracks both touching and important, as they increasingly become our only way to hear the voices and thoughts of those that are no longer with us. Tom Baker is 80 years old. Think about that.
