20 Things You Didn't Know About Scrubs

Throughout his time at Sacred Heart, J.D spent an awful lot of time imagining bizarre and frequently hilarious situations. One of the main things he always conjured up was the idea that Death was a part of the staff. J.D had become so surrounded and desensitised to the loss of life around him that the Grim Reaper became a regular part of his everyday.

This is alluded to in season eight's "My Finale", in which J.D walks down the corridor of Sacred Heart once more and is bid farewell by numerous characters both alive and dead. One such character is the Grim Reaper, who can be seen right at the back of the line but it never focussed on.

Easy to miss, but an excellent call-back worth shouting out.
