20 TV Episodes That Are Totally Flawless

15. Remedial Chaos Theory - Community

The Sopranos
NBC

By Community's third season, showrunner Dan Harmon and his team of writers were becoming more comfortable pushing the boundaries of where the sitcom could go, what it could do, and how off-the-wall it could successfully be without losing its emotional core.

Enter Remedial Chaos Theory, the creative pinnacle of the show's many concept episodes, in which the audience is treated to several different timelines involving the dysfunctional Greendale study group's inability to decide who should go downstairs to pick up their food.

A simple concept that yields some of the funniest moments of the show - Troy walking in to a fiery, blood-soaked nightmare is priceless - the episode is also a startling juggling act of tone and character which never loses touch of what makes the gang tick and how they've managed to stay together.

Though Community has many great episodes, it's hard to think of an argument against Remedial Chaos Theory being the best of the lot.
