20 TV Episodes That Are Totally Flawless

14. Here's Negan - The Walking Dead

The Sopranos
AMC

Throughout seasons seven and eight, it really looked as though The Walking Dead had hit a brick wall and there was no way the show could ever save itself from its waning creativity.

But then came new showrunner Angela Kang, who since season nine has helmed some of the show's best-ever episodes and allowed it to be as good as it ever was - and in some departments better than ever.

Case in point: The season ten finale Here's Negan, a one-hour flashback episode that sheds light on where the show's most infamous big bad came from, and how he became such a magnetic supervillain.

Sporting a never-better performance from Jeffrey Dean Morgan (as well as on-and-off-screen wife Hilarie Burton), Here's Negan is a deeply rewarding, eye-opening odyssey into the past of one of pop culture's most compelling antagonists, and an episode that promises big things from the character moving forward.
