It's not just the old networks who've been cancelling shows recently, with the increasingly ruthless Netflix getting in on the act too. They've already cancelled a number of series this year, from Marvel's The Punisher and Jessica Jones to sitcoms One Day At A Time and Friends From College.

The most recent series to bite the dust is zombie comedy Santa Clarita Diet, which followed Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant as a married couple whose relationship is flipped when she becomes one of the undead. Despite the fun premise and their excellent performances, the show never quite generated the kind of buzz Netflix probably expected, and assuming those cast salaries were costly they've decided to end its life for good.
