Throughout Game Of Thrones there have been plenty of hints as to what the army of the undead are capable of, with Season 2's excellent finale revealing the White Walkers for the first time. They've hardly expressed their intentions explicitly, but it's clear nothing good will come from their march south into Westeros. The eighth episode of Season 5, Hardhome, finally brought them out of the proverbial woodwork in style. After finally convincing the Wildlings to take the trip back to Castle Black on Stannis Baratheon's boats, the mountains in the distance rumble and all hell breaks loose - quite literally. The sheer scale of the attack from the White Walkers and their undead wights was unlike anything seen before, and the sense of tension followed by dread made this one of the most memorable scenes not just of Season 5, but the entire series so far.
