Back in King's Landing and Cersei was far too preoccupied with her impending trial at the hands of the Sparrows to think about anything else. If the sight of her on her knees licking water off the floor was surprising enough, nothing would prepare fans for what was to come in the final episode, Mother's Mercy. After finally confessing to her incestuous relationship with her cousin Lancel (and firmly denying any such impropriety with her brother Jamie), the High Sparrow allows her to return to the Red Keep to await her trial. But getting there isn't going to be easy for Cersei - having been shorn of her hair and stripped naked, she's paraded through the city as the citizens throw dirt and rotting meat at her, hurling abuse with every step she takes. Say what you will about Cersei but she's always epitomised dignity in some way and seeing her humiliated like this is unthinkable - with the reanimated body of Gregor Clegane at her side, expect a bloody revenge to be unleashed on the Sparrows in Season 6.
