21 TV Shows With Iconic Theme Songs

7. Fraiser

Series Debut: 1993 Fraiser's theme song is another throwback/nod to All in the Family, in the sense that series star Kelsey Grammar sings it - but unlike the other theme songs on the list, Fraiser's always came at the end of the show. Composed by Wings composer Bruce Miller, the theme was written in response to the show's producer's request for something "jazzy" that didn't reference the actual show itself (so the name Fraiser or topics like psychiatry). Titled "Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs," the theme had lyrics penned by Miller's friend Darryl Phinnesse after Miller himself was stumped. According to Miller (speaking to writer/producer Kevin Levine for his blog), Phinnesse described the concept as being things that are "mixed up" - like Fraiser's patients. Levine's blog actually posted a great breakdown by Miller himself (it's worth checking out the full article if you want to know more): "Hey baby I hear the blues a-callin"-refers to patients with troubles calling into the radio show "Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs" "But maybe I seem a bit confused"-Frasier's personality was a bit???? "Maybe, but I got you pegged"-Frasier does understand these people and helps them. "But I don't know what to do with those Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs"-it's a tough business€.gotta deal with these "crazies" every day. "They're calling again"-oh, oh€.should be self explanatory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3y5ieJlpnk
