21 TV Shows With Iconic Theme Songs

15. Married With Children

Series Debut: 1987 There is perhaps no theme song greater suited to its show than Married with Children's "Love and Marriage" - but before it ever played over the opening montage of the show, it had won an Emmy decades earlier, for Best Musical Contribution, as it was originally preformed by Frank Sinatra in the 1955 television production of Thornton Wilder's Our Town. Sinatra would go on to record two versions of the song, one of which wound up as the theme song we all know and love from Married with Children. However, when the show was first released on DVD in the early 2000s, only the first two seasons had the theme. Season 3 onwards had a generic replacement tune, as the production company was unable to acquire the rights to the theme song for home video, and was forced to replace it - something they listed on the packaging as a "special feature." This annoyed fans to no end, but it seemed there was nothing to be done. However, Mill Creek Entertainment began releasing new sets of the show starting in 2013 that have the theme music restored from season 3 onwards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlbRZpVrhDI
