23 Actors You Totally Forgot Were In Doctor Who

20. Richard Wilson

"I don't believe it!" That's probably what you're thinking out loud now that you've a) realised that Richard Wilson has guest starred in Doctor Who and b) that you'd forgotten all about it. The actor appeared in Series 1's critically acclaimed The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances as Dr Constantine, a physician investigating the gas mask zombie outbreak epidemic who ended up getting transformed into one of the terrifying beasties himself in what can only be described as one of the most gruesome deaths in Doctor Who history (and even more so on the DVD boxset which has extra bone-cracking sound effects for good measure!). Everything turned out for the best in the end, though, because the terrifying two-parter is one of the rare Doctor Who stories in which "everybody lives!", which is more than can be said for Richard's character, Victor Meldrew, in One Foot in the Grave, of course, as he infamously got hit by a car in the final episode of the BBC's long running sitcom. Coincidentally, the same series also starred Annette Crosbie who guest starred as Mrs Angelo in Series 5's The Eleventh Hour. Is there anyone who hasn't been in Doctor Who?!
