24 Most Memorable Deaths From 24

10. Abu Fayed

Played By - Adoni Maropis, Episode - Day 6: 10.00pm-11.00pm The sixth season of 24 is widely regarded to be the show's weakest, as the plot was largely rehashed from earlier seasons. A constant throughout its first two thirds is Abu Fayed, the terrorist who frames his mentor Hamri Al-Assad for a series of attacks on American targets and offers Al-Assad's location to authorities in exchange for Jack Bauer, who he holds responsible for the death of his brother many years prior. Succeeding in killing 12000 people, as well as Al-Assad and President Wayne Palmer (albeit indirectly) over the course of the day, he is eventually taken into custody, but escapes from a sting operation and is pursued by Jack. What follows is one of the series' most epic one-on-one fights, as Bauer and Fayed fight for control of a suitcase nuke. Jack breaks his adversary's arm with a spanner, only to be assaulted with a pipe before he finally gets the better of things, strangling the terrorist to death with a chain to conclude an exhilarating combat sequence.

9. Paul Raines

Played By - James Frain, Episode - Day 4: 2.00am-3.00am The character of Audrey Raines is introduced at the beginning of 24's fourth season as Jack Bauer's new love interest (and as the daughter of his employer following his firing from CTU after season three). The match seems a happy one, though she has some baggage in the form of husband Paul Raines, who she is not yet divorced from. Inevitably, both Audrey and Paul become caught up in the events of the day, as Paul is connected to two companies involved in suspicious happenings. He is interrogated by Jack as a result, but appears to be innocent of any wrongdoing, accompanying Jack on a visit to the employer of terrorist Habib Marwan despite his romantic involvement with the woman he still loves. After Jack and Paul acquire some intel, an EMP is detonated by the company to cover their wrongdoings and the two are pursued, with Paul being shot and taken into surgery at CTU. Sometime later, Jack comes into the surgery himself with another shooting victim, Chinese suspect Lee Jong, who has vital information that he needs. With medical staff only able to operate on one man, Jack forces them to operate of Jong, abandoning the innocent Paul to his fate as Audrey pleads with him to save his life.
