One of the show's most popular, if elusive, supporting characters is Mandy, the gorgeous bisexual assassin played so brilliantly by Mia Kirshner. To date, she's the only major villain in the show's history to remain alive and free. She appeared prominently at the start of the first season, very briefly at the end of season two, and again at the end of season four, each time playing a pivotal role in the show's events. The last time she was seen, Mandy was granted immunity for her crimes (including David Palmer's assassination attempt in season two), and got away scot-free. According to Joel Surnow, Mandy was almost brought back for both the seventh and eighth seasons, but "it felt like a sensational move".
