25 Best Superhero TV Shows Of All Time
15. Doom Patrol
An eclectic group of heroes with absolutely nothing in common might sound like the synopsis of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, but it also happens to be the premise for the DC Universe streaming series Doom Patrol. And what a unique premise it is.
A show that centers on a group of outcast heroes, Doom Patrol follows the unlikely adventures of Elasti-Girl, Jane, Negative Man, Robotman and Cyborg - all of whom had received their abilities through tragic events before they were ultimately brought together by Dr. Niles Caulder (a.k.a. The Chief) - and, as out there as it sounds (and believe this writer when he says that it is out there), it's also one of the most well-conceived superhero shows of the 21st century.
Authentically dramatic, inherently funny and very very strange, Doom Patrol shattered expectations to quickly become DC Universe's most consistently great offering, and its strong writing is matched only by its incredible cast - consisting of the likes of Brendan Fraser, Timothy Dalton and Alan Tudyk as the nefarious Mr. Nobody - all of whom never fail to turn in an acting masterclass.
