4. Happy Days
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsjJSWO6RP4 It is theme tunes like this one which make me really jealous I wasn't a teenager in the 70's and 80's... but then again, I do feel sorry for all you older TV lovers out there who had to put up with only a few TV channels as apposed to the 100's we have access to today. Like many many shows from before my era, and many many of the shows on this list, I have not seen Happy Days so couldn't say whether it is or isn't a good show. From the countless times it is referenced on many current TV shows like Family Guy and The Simpsons I am assuming that a lot of people still really love this show. Still, I love the happy, optimistic nature of shows from this time and this has to be one of the most cheery songs of all time that even I know how to sing along to almost 40 years after it originally aired. 3. The Muppet Show
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9THwnQg-vEw Another oldie here which goes to show how optimistic shows in the past liked to be- a time in TV where heroes didn't have to be anti-heroes to be cool. Because I want to be a fan of the Muppet's more than I am, and partly because I absolutely love The Muppet's Christmas Carol, a couple years back I rented the first season of The Muppet Show on DVD. I only watched the first 3 episodes however before I got incredibly bored, but that said, I am sure, if I was a child/teenager in the years when this initially was broadcast I would have been a big fan of the show and the humor may have made more sense to me then than it does now. Although we are so far down this list and very near to the end, this isn't the highest rating show which features Jim Henson puppets on this list. That honor goes to the show at number 2...

I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E).
My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future.
