24. Star Trek
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHhePr0TKfc Some of you would probably argue this TV theme tune deserves to be much higher up this list than it is, and feel free to tell me why in the comments section below. I am not at all a fan of the series, but obviously I know many many many of you are, and if I didn't include this theme tune you'd probably hunt me down... so hear it is. The reason for its low place on this list is only really because there are so, so, so many TV theme tunes that I have had to cut so many... at least be thankful this made it if you are a fan. Also, this theme is mostly famous for it's opening monologue, and because that doesn't really count as a theme tune this only makes it to 24th spot. Still, this tune is haunting and classic and definitely deserves a place on here somewhere (even if you would probably put it in the top 10). 23. True Blood
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxINMuOgAu8 One of very few shows that feature on this list that are still on air, this is probably my favorite current theme tune on TV although I have heard many people dislike this. Regardless, this tune perfectly sets the mood of the show and is catchy and cool enough that I never skip though the credits and pretty much always sing along. The song and the show are so connected in my mind that I can't not think about True Blood without singing this theme song to myself in my head. Very catchy and deserving of a place on this list, if only for it being one of few shows on air to actually have a theme tune with lyrics.
